Painting in Socastee, SC

Painting for homes and small businesses in Socastee and nearby Grand Strand towns.

Paint fails for one reason: bad prep. That goes double near the coast, where salt air, humidity, and sun are harder on coatings than almost anywhere in the country. If the surface is not right before the first coat goes on, you will be repainting in two or three years instead of eight or ten. We have repainted plenty of jobs that someone else did cheap — the second job always costs more than doing it right the first time.

How we do it

  1. Prep the surface. Interior: patch, sand, and spot-prime. Exterior: wash, scrape, and sand. Paint does not stick to dirt, mildew, chalk, or loose paint.
  2. Caulk the gaps. Trim joints, window and door frames, anywhere water or air gets in.
  3. Prime what needs it. Bare wood, repairs, and stain-prone areas get primed. Always.
  4. Two finish coats. One coat looks fine on day one and thin in two years.

What we paint

  • Interior walls, ceilings, and trim
  • Cabinets — a fraction of the cost of replacing them
  • Exterior siding, trim, fascia, and soffits
  • Doors, shutters, porches, and decks
  • Drywall repair before paint, so it disappears

Common questions

How long will an exterior paint job last here?

Done right with quality product and proper prep, seven to ten years is realistic. High-sun and high-wind exposures may be closer to five. We will give you an honest read on your specific house.

Can you paint my kitchen cabinets?

Yes. Done properly — degreased, sanded, primed with the right bonding primer, and sprayed or fine-rolled — painted cabinets hold up well and completely change a kitchen. Done badly, they chip in months. We do it properly.

Do I need to be home?

Not necessarily. Plenty of our painting work happens on rentals and second homes with the owner out of state. We send photos when we finish.

From the Neighbors

People We've Worked For

"New skirting on the mobile home and a proper set of front steps. Fair price, showed up both days on time, and the steps are rock solid."

Donna S. Socastee

"Repaired rotted siding and window trim on our beach house. They found the leak that caused it instead of just swapping boards. Sent photos when they finished."

Tom W. Garden City

"Painted the main floor and replaced the builder-grade baseboards. Quoted Tuesday, started the next week, done in four days. Good price, no hassle."

Brenda H. Carolina Forest

"Older home downtown. They matched our original trim, rehung three doors, and painted the whole interior. Careful work — no corners cut."

Mike C. Conway

"New LVP through the whole house. They fixed two soft spots in the subfloor instead of covering them up like the last guy wanted to. Floors are perfect."

Lisa T. Surfside Beach

"They rebuilt our back deck and stairs after the old one went soft. Solid work, built to code, and they hauled off every scrap of the old one."

David K. Murrells Inlet

"Tub-to-shower conversion in our beach house. Clean tile work, and they protected the floors and cleaned up every single day. Would use again."

Sarah M. North Myrtle Beach

"Alex and his crew redid our kitchen — cabinets painted, new counters and backsplash. Showed up when they said and the bill matched the estimate."

James R. Myrtle Beach
