Most of Carolina Forest is newer construction, and newer construction means builder-grade: laminate counters, vinyl floors, hollow doors, and paint that scuffs if you look at it wrong. The houses are solid — they just shipped with the cheap finishes. Upgrading them is most of what we do out here.
The popular list: LVP through the main floor, kitchen counters and backsplash, a real master shower instead of the plastic insert, paint throughout, and trim that makes the rooms feel finished. None of it requires living in a construction zone for months. We do it in stages if that suits your family better.
